First you should try lifestyle change

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back,

As you must be knowing that it is very common side effect of radiation to cause diarrhea,

Radiation actually kills rapidly dividing cells and intestinal cells are one of them. So they don't absorb water much.

Imodium is the safest choice in such condition.

Yes you can change your diet habits a bit, for example:

1) Don't drink much water if your BP if fine and you are not feeling much thirst,

2) Don't drink much water at one time, drink half a glass in a hour then half a glass in next.

3) Use foods which contain more fiber..like XXXXXXX bread, whole wheat bread etc.

4) You can use imodium when required.

5) Try to learn your incontinance habit, like there must be some time 1 hour after drinking water or two hours, keep noting it then you can stay alert specially at that time.

6) Going out you can consider some option like a diaper etc and chose clothes which go with it, i know it's difficult a choice but it's safest.

7) Take care of your water and salt balance

8) Try working on these suggestions i hope you will get good results.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!

Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
