Question : If I have diarrhea 2 hours after taking ivermectin, is the ivermectin still absorbed adequately?

                                    Brief Answer:
Unlikely absorbed
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The complete dose of ivermection to make any impact of its admininstration would not have happened. It would be slowly absorbed by the gut.
I would suggest to take another dose of ivermectin in such a case to my patients.

                                    Brief Answer:
Next dose of ivermectin after diarrhoea resolves
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Is it only one episode or continous even now. If it is one episode after 2 hours and was not continuing then you can wait for the next dose of ivermectin till you stop having diarrhoea.

May I conclude that at least 95% of the Ivermectin has been absorbed by the stomach and small intestine within 2 hours after an Ivermectin dose following a meal.
I am repeating this followup question that I sent 12 hours ago.

                                    Brief Answer:
60 to 70% was absorbed is my opinion
Detailed Answer:
I would optimistically think 60% to 70% of ivermectin would have been absorbed within 2 hours. As there are a lot of other factors that influence the absorption not only diarrhoea.
There is no harm in taking one more dose of Ivermectin as prescribed by your doctor.
