Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.

To recapitulate: Female/59 - colonoscopy 4 weeks ago - diarrhea/loose stools since then - sludgy BM with shunk spray smell - taking clear liquid to soft...

The commonest cause of such a problem as you have is due to the following reasons:
- During the colonoscopy preparation the bowel is washed thoroughly, thereby disturbing the balance of the bacterial flora (bad bacteria overgrow the good ones).
This causes the problems as you have, the bad smelling stool is indicative of a XXXXXXX infection.

I would advise you the following: Please discuss this with your Doctor to get a proper prescription and your XXXXXXX discussion may help you both to get proper therapy.
- Start pre and probiotics, take curds/yogurt, banana, activated charcoal tablets, and most important full normal diet as you were taking before. (barring the food and beverages which you might have noticed to increase your problem)
- If this help you will be fine.
- If this is not helping then you have to take a course of an antibiotic active in intestinal tract, metronidazole for 5 days.

- In addition, please get the blood sugar and thyroid function tests.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask further relevant queries if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
