What Causes Diarrhea, Frequent Bowel Movement And Stomach Cramps?

default
Posted on Wed, 24 Jun 2015
Question: I've had diarrhea that's very liquid and pretty frequent for 36 hours with no fever. Imodium doesn't seem to help and anything I ingest (tried chicken noodle soup, tea, jello and gator aid) only seems to give me stomach cramps

Brief Answer:
Proper vitals and medications.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your history.
Read and understood that you have watery diarrhea, frequent for 36 hours - no fever - Imodium not helping - stomach cramps -

It looks that you need a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole, probiotics, activated charcoal. You can take less than 6 Imodium in 24 hours, meaning take one after each loose stool.

Take soft bland diet, banana, electral solution to keep hydration and electrolyte balance well.

Consult a Doctor to get a clinical evaluation, physical examination/vitals, investigations if required and prescription for the medicines.

I hope this helps you.
