Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Cephalexin is related with abdominal pain and diarrhea as adverse effects. Since you already have IBS D , its more likely that the adverse effect of diarrhea could have exacerbated that further.

Cephalexin is usually prescribed in skin, genitourinary and respiratory tract infections. If there is an infection then it should be continued. Isotonic fluids like ORS should be taken orally to avoid dehydration due to fluid and electrolyte loss.

Eluxadoline can be advised for IBS D in consultation with your doctor.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
