                                    Brief Answer:
Suspect Irritable Bowel Disease
Detailed Answer:
Hi.Thanks for writing on HCM.
According to me early morning diarrhoea is seen most commonly in Irritable bowel syndrome.
I would like to know some more information which will help me to understand your condition better-
Are stools watery/ foul smelling?
Do you have abdominal cramping, bloating, a sensation that bowels are not fully emptied after passing the stool?
Is it associated with constipation?
Is mucus present in stools?
I were to do blood test, stool examination and colonoscopy to confirm the diagnosis.
Hope this helps and answers your query.

Thank you. I was tested for IBS in the past and it was negative. I am definitely sensitive to gluten and believe I may have celiac but been mostly gluten free for some time and that helped. The stools are watery, somewhat foul smelling and no mucus. I am sometimes constipated later in the day, bloated, but not much cramping. The other symptom is the numbness in my feet.

                                    Brief Answer:
Reconsider diagnosis if test negative +probiotics
Detailed Answer:
Many thanks for writing back.
If you are on gluten free diet then these symptoms are unlikely.
I were to do a complete blood count with a peripheral smear and colonoscopy first. If they were to be normal I will definitely reconsider IBS and treat symptomatically.
I were to add probiotics for 1-2 weeks because it aids to reduce the symptoms in IBS.
Hope this answers your query.
All the best.Get well soon.
