Question : I hope I am getting the same doctor, I paid for three visits. Since I went cold turkey yesterday from hydrocodine and wine. I have constant diarrea. Is this permanent or tempory and if so how long to clear up?
Brief Answer:
its not permanent, should remit in one week.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome here.
I understand your concerns.
There is no exact time duration for which the narcotic withdrawal symptoms last.
Usually, diarrhoea is expected to remit by one week on its own. But it may last longer. Every body responds differently.
If its severe, you can take imodium tablets upto 8 tablets (16mg) in a day.
Take plenty of fluids and healthy diet.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
Thanks.
