Question : Hello Doctor. I have a right eyelid that doesn't want to open in the am after sleeping. It feels like it is sticking! I have to physically open it with a finger. Help! Thank you.

My Dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
As there is no difficulty in movement through out the day and there is no discharge in the morning to stick the lids together we can rule out muscle weakness and infections.That leads us to the likelihood of dry eye.The oil secreating glands on the outer surface of the eye as well as the body reduce their oil output and we land up with type of dryness.For relief You can use lubricating eye drops 3-4times a day,and as you get relief you are supposed to continue with this management.
