What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing And Feeling Of Something Stuck In Throat?

Question: I have had the feeling like something is causing me difficulty swallowing. I aw my doctor and she said my thyroid is low I have taken synthroid for two months. My thyroid levels are now normal. However I still am feeling like something is stuck in my throat. Iwhen i asked my PCP she said my thyroid could cause the feeling like something is stuck in there. I know nothing is stuck but worry there is something still wrong with my esophagus. I do sometimes feel like something is even stuck at the back of my throat where my nasal area is. I know it sounds weird but it's driving me crazy. I feel like I need to swollen constantly. Should I get another opinion or is this just my thyroid?

Thanks for posting your query.
Enlargement of thyroid gland can cause swallowing difficulty or throat discomfort but in that case a visible swelling will be noticed in front of your neck . Do you have any kind of swelling in front of your neck ?
Also other cause of swallowing difficulty has to be looked in for like swelling of tonsils or nodules in throat or voice box or some ulcers or mass in oesophagus . In that regard I advice you to get an Upper gastrointestinal Endoscopy done and revert back .
Hope this information is useful to you.
Any clarification feel free to ask.
