Question: I have difficulty being able to write the numbers 2 and 3. I have to think hard before I can get these numbers on paper

Since when do you have this problem?
Do you have any history of cerebrovascular accidents (stroke)?
Do you find it difficult to write any characters other than 2 and 3 ?
Can you picturize the numbers 2 and 3 in imagination and can you read the same form other source ?

I have not had CVA or stroke. I have had these symptoms about 2 months now. I do not have problems with any other
Numbers or characters. I have no problem picturizing the numbers. I have no problems reading, just writing these numbers. Medical hx is HTN , cholesterol which I take meds. Meds are prevastatin 40mg qday, tribenzor 40-5-12.5 qday I have no other complications. I work at a hospital on night shift.

Based on the description provided I suspect you to have either Dysgraphia with defective finger sequencing to write the mentioned numbers or Character amnesia. Both most of times are seen associated with psychological disorders rather than organic brain defects.

I suggest you to consult a Psychiatrist who can counsel and assess you, by which he/ she can identify the exact defect and the cause for the same.
