Question : I have infrequent recurence of small (less than 1 cm) diameter epidermal discolorations that are dark red in color and appear to be limited to the epidermal. They present unilaterailly along the top of my left forearm and dissapear completely in about 7 days. There is usually only one lesion at any one time. No pain or sensitivity accompanies them. I can go for 6 months without any recurrence. My liver panel enzymes are normal. What do you think is causing them?

Based on the history you have shared, and description of the lesions, it can be due to submucosal capillaries or small vessels spilling blood under the skin.
You need to start with basic clotting profile and complete blood picture with peripheral blood smear for platelets count. If they are deranged then work up for their derangements may be needed.
Using vitamin C and vitamin K supplements may help to reduce their frequency. If the frequency increases, consider a detailed examination by visiting to your GP as it must be done in such case.

Would the fact that I take 162 mg of enteric aspirin daily affect such capillary leakage?
