Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and would like to explain that there are many causes which may be related to your symptomatology and a careful differential diagnosis is necessary:

1. A musculo-skeletal pain is the most probable diagnosis. Is your pain modulated by body movements or respiratory movements? This would be typical for a musculo-skeletal pain. In such case all the tests would result normal, and painkillers would relieve your symptoms.

2. Gastro-esophageal reflux or esophageal spasms. I read your previous questions and your symptoms. A fibrogastroscopy is necessary to rule in/out this disorder (even though your symptoms have not been released by drinking water or soda)

3. Anxiety. It is a common cause that mimics this clinical scenario.

4. I would exclude any cardiac disorder related to your symptoms. But I recommend performing a chest x ray to exclude a possible aorta disorder which may mimic these symptoms.

I recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical examination and performing the above mentioned test and a routine check up (resting ECG, thyroid hormone levels, complete blood count, kidney and liver function tests, fasting glucose, blood electrolytes), to exclude other possible causes of your symptomatology.

If the pain is modulated by respiratory movements, and all the above tests result normal, painkillers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen would relieve your symptoms (very effective in musculo-skeletal pain).

If all the tests result normal and your pain is not modulated by respiratory movements or body movements, the most probable cause would be anxiety.

Hope to have been of help!

Brief Answer:
I recommend consulting with your GP and perform some tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Thank you for the information provided.

Straining physical activity could cause musculo-skeletal pain. In that case acetaminophen taken an hour ago should have relieved slightly your symptoms.

So you need to consult with your GP for a physical evaluation and perform the tests I mentioned before, to exclude other causes.

Regarding the streptococcal issue, I recommend performing a throat discharge culture, complete blood count, chest x ray, anti streptolysine plasma levels, inflammation tests (PCR, sedimentation, fibrinogen) to exclude a possible infection. It may be related to lower respiratory infection, which may lead to chest pain.

Hope to have been of help!

I am at your disposal for any other questions, whenever you need!

Greetings!
