Question : I have really bad sides on my ribs like I am starving but when I eat it gets worse and it has been a couple days now and it is not getting any better any ideas

A possible gastric ulcer

Hi Madam,
i have carefully read your query and understand your concern.

sensation of abdominal discomfort immediately post intake of meal suggests gastric ulcer as the prime diagnosis.

These individuals are incapable to take food ,as food stimulates excess acid secretion causing pain and discomfort,further inhibiting the food intake.
This proceeds like a cycle making the individual prone to starvation like effects.

I advise you to have an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to rightly evaluate the diseased site/mucosa of the stomach.

A possible biopsy is also taken to study the H.pylori,a bacterium responsible for Gastric ulcer/erosion.

Drugs like proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole 40 mg once a day for 21 days along with anti h pylori regimen of 2 antibiotics for 1 month is all curative.

Note ;these drugs have to be taken only in presence of strict medical supervision.
