Question : My family has a history of kidney stones. I have been experiencing discomfort at the base of my penis for several days, then yesterday I had extreme pain in my right kidney. A urinalysis at the clinic showed no infection. After several hours the kidney pain ended. I've had no painful urination or frequent urge. I have had no problem urinating until just now. I was able to urinate but it was difficult and immediately I experienced severe pain, again at the very base of my penis.

Brief Answer:
To get an early diagnosis and proper management.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted all the points you have mentioned.
Your typical history of pain at the base of penis is suggestive of either a stone in the urethra or an injury caused by passed out stone.
I would advise you the following:
X-ray of the pelvis to see whether there is a stone in urinary bladder or urethra.
Supplemented with ultrasonography of the whole abdomen including for the area mentioned above.
Per-rectal digital examination and ultrasound helps a lot.
Please attend ER or a hospital nearby for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations to get an appropriate diagnosis and proper management.
