Question : I ve been doing well , on friday right after lunch I felt maybe some gastric juice , had a very pasta based lunch , lots of cheese and maybe dairy based soup and other stuff. I just felt that my left tonsil is bothering me a little after this lunch and it bothers very little when I swallow but very little, but also on that same date we had a gathering with lots of kids and people at a school graduations so I could have picked up something from there . Had this issue last year and after my physicals all seems normal , also been going through this hypochondriac anxiety and everything worries me even thought everyone says I look great. today Monday it feels much better, only feel a little discomfort like a little scratching when I swallow but it's only now on the left side and not both, I am feeling a lot better than Friday, & Saturday morning.
Brief Answer:
Laryngopharyngeal reflux...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
After going through the history I am of the opinion that you could be suffering from laryngopharyngeal reflux secondary to acid reflux disease.
Do not worry! It's not a serious issue. This happens when the acid from the stomach regurgitates into the throat causing burning of the mucosa and swelling of the same.
Try taking OTC antacids, if you are not getting better, you would require proton pump inhibitors for the treatment of the same.
Hope I have answered your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.
