2.Back muscle strengthing exercises specially flexion exercises are helpful.
3.Avoid forward bending or any jerky movements for spine.
4.Tablet Pregabalin M can be given at night time.
I hope these steps will be helpful for you. Let me know of there is any other follow up questions.

Should I ask my primary MD to order the MRI of the whole spine or only lower back?
Can you recommend or know of good back muscle strengthing excersises? Should I wear a back support brace? My work posture does not help at all.
Thank you. XXXXXXX J.

                                    Brief Answer:
MRI of lumbar sacral spine is required
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You need to get whole spine MRI. As you have neck pain and back pain. So if possible whole spine otherwise lumbar sacral spine can be done.
A physiotherapist will be able to describe and explain exercise. It's difficult to explain those exercise on this page.
Back support is good for short time but in long period it is better to improve muscle strength. Back muscle become weak if you wear support for long time.
Thanks
