Question: Several times today I had to do something and then immediately forgot what I was doing, or had to do. I also just started having severely blurred vision and light spots in my left eye

Variant migraine headaches have the migraine aura like with the symptoms you mention but without the actual headache.

That said, this could also be a transient ischemic attack--a threatened stroke--so I'd advise you to see a doctor right away for an exam and possibly a cardiac workup and MRI of the brain if the physician thinks those are warranted.
