Management options explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Colic pain can occur and is common in infants from one to 4 months age. Possible causes include Low levels of lactase in the baby gut or Inadequate quantity of fluid intake by the mother. With maturity , this problem will subside on its own in a few weeks. Dont worry.

The following measures would be helpful.
Infacol or collimex drops can be used
Try to drink adequate water through out the day to compensate for any low water content in breast milk.
Proper burping after feed by holding the baby upright for atleast 10 minutes and patting on the back gently.

If the pain persists despite these measures then a pediatric doctor should be consulted for further evaluation.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
