Rarely a small part of large intestinal wall outpouches. This pouch is called Diverticuli. This rarely causes severe symptoms except constipation which is not serious.

This diverticuli cannot empty itself well, hence there are high chances of it getting infected. Infected diverticuli get inflamed and cause intense and constipation. This is called diverticulitis.
