What Causes Dizziness And Chills Post Withdrawal From Oxycodone?

Question: I was taking 5mg of oral oxycodone for pain from hip replacement surgery. I am 3 weeks into my recovery and am doing well. My problem is that I 've been cutting back on the oxy as pain has lessened. Was down to half a pill at bedtime. So last night I didn't take any and after about 5 minutes lying in bed I became so dizzy that I didn't know what to do. I laid still and eventually fell asleep but this morning am very shakey and afraid to use my cane so am back on walker. Am I crazy or is this oxy withdrawal?
Brief Answer:
It is not withdrawal
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.
It is not oxycodone withdrawal. It is likely due to low blood pressure or low glucose or just anxiety in morning.
Oxycodone 5 mg very low dose and main symptom of withdrawal is pain. So it is not withdrawal.
Continue half tablet for more 3 days. If you feel same symptoms again consult your doctor for evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
