What Causes Dizziness And Feeling Of Electric Shocks In The Head After Injury?

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Aug 2017
Question: I was sitting outside smoking a cigarette as usual and I was watching some kids playing and all of a sudden out of nowhere very abrupt, I felt dizziness and almost as if I couldn't move and was about to fall, also an electric shock went through my body mostly my head I think and a loud screeching sound. The dizziness, the sound and the electric shock all happened at the same time and it hurt bad. I never thought you could get that feeling unless actually being shocked. what happened? why? I did not receive medical attention.

I recently have had an incident (2days ago)where I was strangled with a hand and the fingers were jabbing into my neck as if to try and rip it out. the chockeing caused my ear on the right side to hurt instently and still hurts now also pain behind my ear and the path leading from my neck to my right ear. not pain in the skin but deeper than that insde my head. I also did not receive medical attention

Brief Answer:
Cervical myalgia

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic and thanks for putting up the query
You are probably suffering from myalgia due to injury. The dizziness episode was just a vagal syncope. It can result due to abrupt change in head position or multiple thoughts at a time.
It is a normal phenomenon and you should just relax.
Take a muscle relaxant for the cervical pain and avoid any neck exercises.
Avoid using pillow for few days.
Apply a local liniment over the neck for quick relief.
Any further questions are always welcome.
Take care
Thanks and regards

Brief Answer:
Cervical myalgia

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the follow up query.
My advice is you should take the medicines and follow the instructions. You will definitely be benefited.
You should get a x-ray cervical spine lateral view done. There is probably some nerve over stimulation causing these symptoms. It may take few days for the symptoms to subside.
I hope my advise proves useful for you.
Take care
Thanks and regards
