Brief Answer: Vertigo Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. The symptom you mentioned above appears to be vertigo. Vertigo is caused due to defects in the vestibular apparatus. Vestibular apparatus is an extension of the inner ear which is involved in maintenance of balance. Defects in this leads to feeling of falling down, dizzy and a sensation of floating. Such vestibular defects occur secondary to ear infections. Past infection in the ear is a common cause. I suggest you to consult a Ear nose throat specialist who after examining you can confirm the same. Wish you good health. regards,
