Question : i am 65+ and exercise daily from 1-2 hours...Lately, during anaerobic activity when I am out of breath chasing tennis balls or biking in high altitudes (which rarely happened before), I start getting dizzy...If I sit down or lower my head or stop all activity, it grows worse getting back up...If I gradually move, it goes away and I am able to continue my bike ride in the mountains or finish the tennis match...I never know when it will strike--even getting up in the middle of the night and getting out of my tent. Suggestions?

you need a complete work up

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

There can be a number of causes in this case and a complete work up is needed to see what is actually happening.

First step will be the blood tests to see if you are having enough reserves of blood to coup with the increased demand of oxygen during stress state , blood tests will also throw light on any other issue if present.

After blood test, stress testing is recommended which will put you in physical stress like exercise etc and will keep monitoring you pulse heart rate ..heart rythms..blood pressure fluctuations etc, stress testing is very important in problems which are mostly evident during stress states.

I woul suggest you to visit you doctor and get a complete check up and work up to see whats wrong mostly such issues are very treatable.

At home and during this problem you can always keep an eye on your blood pressures...blood sugars and regularity of pulse and if anything is abnormal you can right away get an idea about problem.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.
