What Causes Dizziness, Diarrhea And Vomiting Post Recovery From Aortic Aneurysm?

default
Posted on Tue, 5 Apr 2016
Question: My husband had an aortic aneurysm in 2010. However, I am not sure what I am asking about is at all related. He occasionally has these symptoms: gets suddenly very dizzy, sweats profusely, has mild diarrhea, and then nausea with vomiting. He says that the room suddenly is off balance. He fears that if he were driving and this occurred he wouldn't be able to help himself. The last incident before tonight was between Christmas and New Years. I don't sense it's any kind of virus. We are reeling from today's incident .

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your husband may be related to gastrointestinal viral infection in a patient with inner ear problems. In such a patient gastrointestinal virosis is manifested with dizziness, diarrhea and vomiting.

If he was my patient I would recommend to do an ENT specialist consultation and audiogram to diagnose and treat inner ear problems.

Meanwhile I would suggest as follows :
- drink plenty of waters
- Use tasectan
- Use prebiotics
- Use betahistine to relieve dizzines

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
