What Causes Dizziness, Fatigue And Shortness Of Breath When Diagnosed With A Sinus Infection?

default
Posted on Tue, 16 Aug 2016
Question: Hi, I started sneezing about a month ago. I had nasal congestion. Eventually that went away but I have been coughing for near a month. The doctor at my university thinks it is a sinus infection. I have been having light headedness, fatigued, and most scary are the chest pains. It feels like my heart is pumping hard all the time and I have been having shortness of breath. I'm pretty scared at this point. Is this normal for a sinus infection?

Brief Answer:
Symptoms suggestive of chronic Sinusitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

Going by description of your symptoms its very much likely to be Chronic sinusitis. The symptoms can last longer , if there is associated anatomical abnormality of nose like deviated nasal symptom, associated allergy or persistent infection.

Apart from medical I would also advise no pharmacological measures which will be helpful

1. Steam Inhalation preferably by electronic steamer will be helpful , done 10 minutes each session thrice a day

2. Oral Intake of Vitamin C rich fruits like citrus fruits

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance ,w ill be glad to assist you
