Brief Answer:
solve puzzles & read & check your medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Your present symptoms are not suggestive of any single eitology..they are more like perceptual problems. But its always better to rule out organicity in every case to prevent any complication.

I would like you to get few tests-
Blood pressure and pulse reading, blood tests-complete blood counts, kidney & liver function tests, blood sugar, tsh, sr. Vit B 12 levels. If any of these tests have been done in past 6 months and were normal- there is no need to repeat those. If any one is foumd deficient- meet a general physician.

The feeling of brain being spacy and achy- can be a part of schizophrenia induced perceptual differences..which may occur late or even sometime early in the disorder.

The cognitive decline is also frequently seen in schizophrenia. There are certain medicines which are marketed to be cognitive enhancers but the evidence for them is not very sound..instead , you may try doing more puzzles or mathematical problmes or simple daily calculations to imrove your memory. You are young and so there is high chance of improvement of all these symptoms.

You havent mentioned the medicines you are taking at present else I would have analysed them. There are several safe drugs available in the market now a days.

Please enter into cognitive therapy or simple councelling sessions to restore your confidence.

Sometimes the medicines cause slight day time sedation which can make mind dull and its difficult to work or think...so, we need to check them too!

I hope the reply helps you.
Feel free to ask more questions for clarification. Wish you speedy recovery.
