Brief Answer:
Low blood sugar or fluid depletion could have lead to the problems.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone very carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Your child did not have food for long. This could have lead to hypoglycemia or a drop in blood sugar levels which could have manifested with such a presentation. Another complicating factor which might have been present in association or independently is dehydration. During prolonged sun exposure, water and salts are lost from the body in form of sweat. As a result, the total fluid content of the body can fall leading to electrolyte imbalance and dehydration.

The low sugar levels should have already corrected by now but she still needs to be given plenty of fluids to drink. ORS (oral rehydration solution) can be given.

For safety reasons it might be worthwhile to subsequently get a echocardiogram done in order to evaluate the cardiac function.

Feel free to write back in case of further queries.

Brief Answer:
The likelihood of what I said is more.

Detailed Answer:
With risk factors already present, the likelihood of what I said is much more. Vertigo cannot be ruled out but why would it occur all of a sudden without any definite triggers.

Migraine is characterized by pain involving one half of the head. Usually it is associated with an aura i.e. a sense that such a thing might start. If that is the case, I would remove all other probabilities. If not, I would not consider this probability.

Brief Answer:
Could you please get a few blood tests done. Share the reports with me.

Detailed Answer:
Giddiness can occur due to dehydration but why would dehydration last so long. Her blood levels of electrolytes (sodium, potassium) need to be checked. Her thyroid profile needs to be checked as well.
