Question : Hello,
I work offshore on an oil platform and was recently sent home by the safety officer to get evaluated by a doctor because I was showing signs of sicknes and not being 100%. My symptoms were being dizzy, pale, and just overall feeling rundown. I don't know if this is a hydration issue or to do with the heat( the temperature is quite brutal) Anyway I was sent in to get evaluated by a doctor to get released to come back to work. I feel fine now but was wondering if you might have any insight into what could have caused this?

Brief Answer:
Most common causes listed sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and shall try my best to help provide the information you are looking for.

I should rightfully start by saying that there are a dozen reasons for a presentation similar to yours, as your symptoms are quite vague sir. But with the information in hand, I could provide the most common causes for the same:

-Temperature
-Hypoglycaemia due to gaps between meals or insufficient amount of food consumed in accordance to the level of physical activity
-Hypotension: Again could be possible due to diet, level of activity in a day, etc.
-Anemia
-Motion sickness
-Meniere's disease
and a few others.

Most of these causes can self resolve, but a few may require further evaluation sir. If at all your symptoms recur, despite of having a healthy diet and lifestyle, then please do report to a doctor for an elaborate evaluation.

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative sir. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes.
