should be better after 3-4 days
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
viral infections like influenza and others usually cause acute illness for the first 3-4 days. After that, their effects wear off gradually. Depending on the actual pathogen and the patient complete recovery may take more or less time. Your husband should seek medical attention sooner if he has any of the following:
- experiences serious and constant headache
- develops pleuritic pain
- shortness of breath
- faintness and/or low blood pressure
- very fast breaths (more than 25 per minute)
- gets worse in any way
Until then he can use paracetamol (acetaminophen) for the fever and to relieve the malaise, drink enough fluids and monitor his vital signs (heart rate, breath rate, blood pressure).
I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!
 doesn't sound likely
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the additional info! I don't believe it's cymbalta. First of all the dose is not that low and lowering has been very gradual so far. Besides that I don't know of any patient who had fever after reducing the dosage of cymbalta.
Kind Regards!
 You're welcome
