What Causes Dizziness, Tingling Sensation In The Extremities, Black Stools And Dry Mouth?

The only thing that has changed in this period of time is I have used a Retin A Tretonoin cream for my face. I have read up people have had similar symptoms. Could this be the cause? Thanks
I would recommend as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be explained with adverse effects related to low magnesium levels.
I would like to directly review your ECG, if you can upload it for a more professional opinion. Prolonged ECG could be related to sinus bradycardia, but I would like to directly review your ECG.
Regarding the cream that you are using, I would explain that the face surface is a small surface and the amount of cream absorbed into the circulating blood is really small to cause such adverse effects.
Anyway, I would recommend taking some magnesium supplements for some times.
If these symptoms occur again, I would recommend stopping the cream intake. If this does not help too, with your symptoms, further tests are needed to investigate for other possible causes underlying this clinical scenario:
- thyroid hormone levels for possible dysfunction
- PCR, ESR for inflammation
- a stool analysis for the presence of blood
- a stool bacterial culture for infection (which can cause stool color change).
Hope to have been helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
