What Causes Dizziness While On Lasix And Metoprolol?

Question: I had two coronary bypass 2 1/2 weeks ago. I have never had a heart issue until now. My swelling in minimum. My BP is 140/88 so it not bad.I felt pretty good at first but now not so. I have a constant h/a, BP and pulse are low at times I feel dizzy and unstable. My nurse says I am dehydrated. I am taking Lasix 40mg and Metoprolol 25mg 1/2 in am and 1/2 in pm. How do I get my Dr. to drop the doses? If she doesn't I will drop it myself.

Hello Ma'am

After going through the medical details provided by you I would like to tell you that you can talk with your doctor regarding the symptoms which you are experiencing and they will surely adjust the dosage of your medicine according to the situation.

As your diastolic blood pressure is slightly towards the higher side so it not at all advisable to stop taking medicine.

Is you feel dizzy or weak you can discuss with your doctor and reduce the dose of the medicines to half but with that you have to keep a close look on your blood pressure and heart rate.
