Question : During dinner tonight, my husband turned pale and said hehad double vision. It cleared after about 5 minutes. He is 78 And has suffered from heart problems, septicaemia, anaemia and various infections. He is to have a brain scan tomorrow as he has balance problems. I am most concerned about the double vision. Should we see his GP or wait for the result of the scan? Thanksyou, XXXXXXX

I think you should see the GP as a clinical examination is very important which only a Doctor can do. This helps to get a clinical diagnosis which is the most important.

A CT Scan and further investigations help to get further information.
