                                    Brief Answer:
The saliva being blood stained concerns me.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query. As such I was not worried about the drooling in sleep. During sleep the muscles may become so relaxed that the swallowing of saliva is inhibited and the accumulated saliva drools out. But the saliva being mixed with blood concerns me. If such a things happens again, be sure to visit a doctor and to get yourself evaluated.
Feel free to write back in case of further queries.

                                    Brief Answer:
Clinical examination and correlation are essential.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. There are a number of issues to be considered here. A clinical examination is needed to rule out any nasal and pharyngeal pathology. Tumors, growth and erosions need to be considered. The amount and freshness of the blood are to be considered. Oral hygiene also has an important role to play.
The possibilities can be worked out based on the above factors.
