Brief Answer:
Possible Seborrheic dermatitis or sebopsoriasis

Detailed Answer:
Hello. thank you.

I am Dr. kakkar(Dermatologist and Venereologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
I think you have either seborrheic dermatitis or sebopsoriasis. It presents as red scaling skin on side of ears, nose, margins of scalp. I request you to kindly upload a few images in "Reports Section" so that I am able to confirm.
Both of these are steroid responsive dermatosis. If I was the treating doctor is would suggest a topical steroid cream e.g mometasone furoate 0.1% cream Or fluticasone propionate 0.05% cream, twice daily for 2-4 weeks. There is an issue of recurrence with these skin conditions. Moreover since topical steroids cannot be used repeatedly or long term.. in those who have frequent relapses i usually suggest my patients to use a topical vitamin D analogue e.g calcipotriene or calcipotriol lotion or ointment. They are safer and can be used long term unlike topical steroids.
