Posted on Tue, 17 Jan 2017
Question: My 10 year old daughter has had a dry cough at night. With no fever or mucus. It has been real cold I don't know if it's strep throat or lack of moisture in the air.

Brief Answer:
Cough

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
In most cases, strep doesn't come with cough. Additionally, strep typically comes with throat pain, and often fever. It is more likely that the cough is due to the dry air. However, keep in mind that there is no way to say with %100 certainty that it is not strep without doing an in office strep test.
