Psoriasis is one of erythematous lesion characterised by dry flaky skin, absence of pain or itchiness and appearance of red area after removal of dry flaky silvery scales.
However, clinical assessment by a dermatologist is required for confirming the diagnosis.
Psoriasis is a skin lesion in which the turn over time of skin is reduced.
There is rapid formation and shedding of the skin layers.

A clinical assessment and relevant investigations are required to make a diagnosis.
However, if it turns out to be psoriasis, the treatment is conservative consisting of topical ointments and oral medications.
Psoriasis is not contagious.
