Question : I've finished treatment for H palori on 19th January 2015. After about 7 or 8 days into treatment I've noticed, the roof of my mouth and part of my tongue became dry. It is not dry all the time but at least 50% out of the time. I thought this would go away, once I was done with treatment but it has not. Will you please advise? Thanks much.

                                    Brief Answer:
Dehydration
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There are many different medications used to treat H.pylori. One of them cause dry tongue/dry month. That's the reason why I asked you about the medications. But the medications that you taking do not cause it.
Diabetes is another common cause of dry mouth. You are not a diabetic also.
You probably are dehydrated which is causing dry mouth. Drink lot of fluids. A clear urine indicates you have taken adequate fluids.
Anxiety and mouth breathing is another common cause of dry mouth. Just see whether any of these are the risk factors in your case.
I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
