Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Namasthe
Dear XXXX

Reduced saliva output causes difficulty In swallowing solid foods : This leads to malnutrition: Malnutrition further suppresses saliva output.
I hope there is no swelling at the site of salivary gland (in front of ear and below jaw line).

I would advise you the following which will definitely help you

1. Ensure intake of liquid diet ; Liquid are easy for intake. Juices , Soft wheat porridge (Dalia), rice water , deal water
2. Factors for promoting salivation: 4 drops of lemon juice added to sugar cube. Chewing it 4 to 5 times a day will promote salivation
3. Hematinics and Multivitamin supplement
4 Oral glycerine application
5. Appetite stimulants: Cyprohepatidine will be helpful

Wishing you great health

Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to chronic inflammation

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear Ms

It may take 1-2 months for good recovery.Cause is likely to be due to chronic inflammation. If it does not improve autoimmune disease affecting salivary gland needs to be investigated.
The important factor is nutrition maintainance.

Brief Answer:
Get Complete Blood count

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Namasthe
Dear XXXX

Thanks for the clinical pictures. Your tongue looks bald and glossy with white like layer below the tongue. This is glossitis which occurs due to Iron and Vitamin deficiency. Your oral mucosa is not that dry, if the mucosa was very much dry it would also have caused dental carries.

I would suggest you the following
1. Complete Blood count: To know hemoglobin level
2. Serum Vitamin B 12 assay
3. Peripheral smear

I would suggest the following after the investigation
1. Start with Hematinics: Tablet OROFER XT. Start with twice a day after food.
2. Tablet Albendazole 400 MG one single dose for routine deworming
3. Injection Vitcofol which contains vitamin B 12 . Once a week for 12 weeks
4. Multivitamin supplement containing B 12 and folic acid.

I am sure it will definitely help.

Take care
