Question : Hello. I live in XXXXXXX & about 1 month back I went to a massage parlor where the girl after giving me massage with oil gave me a handjob. While giving me handjob with one hand she pushed her one well oiled finger of other hand in my anus & vigorously kept on stroking it till I came. Although I did not feel any pain but after this I became scared and checked her finger too which she had put in my hole. There was no visible cut but her nails were long. After about three weeks after the incident i.e. about a week back I noticed a skin rash in my left underarm about 5” below my armpit. It was a very dry skin patch about 1”x1” with no pain or itching. I washed it thoroughly & the dry skin flakes came out leaving a reddish brown skin discolouration behind which exists till date and the skin is no more dry. I experienced no other symptoms .
Can this dry skin rash be symptomatic of HIV infection & can this kind of exposure lead to HIV. Should I get tested ? Please answer my query as I am extremely worried and going nuts..

                                    Brief Answer:
Symptom not related to HIV. Risk is negligible
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
Hand job is the safest sex activity when compared to other types of sexual activity as far as the HIV risk is concerned. Anal fingering also has only negligible risk for HIV.
Dry, non itchy, scaly skin rash is not any way specific for HIV manifestation, that too in early stage. A fungal infection or an allergic reaction to soaps can mimic the same.
Earliest HIV manifestations in the form of 'FLU' like condition can occur only after 4-6 weeks of the possible infection, that too only with 50%.
HIV testing is suggested. A negative HIV test would alleviate your unnecessary tension than the words can.

HIV testing has been suggested. Since the episode is of 1 month back what test & when should I undergo. I mean antibody test or DNA pCR Qualitative at this stage is more accurate . Please specify

                                    Brief Answer:
DNA PCR is preferable at present
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
HIV Antibody test will become positive only after 12 weeks (window period). DNA PCR is conclusive after 4 weeks following high risk contact. So you can go for HIV DNA PCR test or a 4th generation COMBO Test.
