Question : dull ache in upper left side under ribs and going down a little way - not sick with it - i just know its there - have it for months -

Brief Answer: Get physician consultation Detailed Answer: Hello, Dull ache left side under ribs could be commonly because of either -- Heart disease Acidity / Heart burn You must get a Physician consultation done and get done Electrocardiogram done first to rule out heart problem. Secondly start with antacid tablets and medicines for reflux. take precautions-- Keep head end of bed elevated. Avoid alcohol, Smoking Do brisk walking daily Go for walk after dinner Avoid spicy food Avoid late night coffee In doubt do reply
