Question : I am a 53 year old male. I had right side hernia surgery last July. For the past week or two, there is a dull pain where the surgery took place in my pelvic area. It comes and goes, but it is particularly persistent today. The surgeon used a mesh to fix my hernia

Brief Answer:
You should take Anti inflammatory tablet.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As.pee your description,Mesh has been used in Hernia repair.
As the Mesh will not be absorbed,it remains at the Surgery site and prevents recurrence of Hernia. There will be minor discomfort to moderate pain in few individuals.I prescribe Anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
If the pain is not subsiding,I will get an Ultrasound abdomen and exclude RECURRENCE of Hernia.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
