Brief Answer:
clinical evaluation is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that you might be having a neuromuscular pain and needs a clinical examination and investigation by an Orthopedic surgeon. An MRI of Lumbosacral region will help in planning your medical management. You can take painkiller like Ibuprofen twice daily after meals along with a muscle relaxant like Chloroxazone and an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg. Hot fomentation and application of pain relieving gel locally will help in relieving your symptoms. You should get physiotherapy done as it has a great role in muscular pain treatment. Also give rest to your body. Avoid sleeping on very soft bed. Further medical management can be planned according to the clinical evaluation done by your Orthopedician and according to the MRI report.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Thanks.

Many thanks for the advice. Would you advise seeing a doctor and getting a referral or would you deem it best if I were to visit the acident and emergency department of a UK hospital?
