Question : I have a dull pain in my lower back near or at my left kidney. I have applied heat and it relieves the pain some.

Hello,
your pain could be muscular pain or due to kidneys. I suggest that you visit your doctor for a physical examination to ascertain the cause.In case it is pain due to kidneys you would need a urine test and ultrasound to ascertain the nature of the problem.
