Brief Answer:
detailed ent examination, otoscopy and avoid chilled products.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. The symptoms reported seem concerning and I will recommend that you see a doctor and get evaluated.

With such presentation, I would perform ENT examination to rule out tonsillitis, adenoid hypertrophy or allergy (source of infection). If necessary otoscopy procedure to see the status of ear drum. He might need a course of antibiotic along with antihistamines, nasal decongestant drops, if necessary steroidal nasal spray following this evaluation. I will recommend you see a nearby ENT surgeon. He/she will know about the procedures described above.

In the mean time, follow the precautions- avoid consuming chilled products (curd/ice creams) during winter season. Avoid water dripping into the ear during bath by plugging it with cotton.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
