There are many reasons for ears getting hot.
It may be
1.Environmental conditions.
2.Intense feeling and emotions.
3.Hormonal changes.
The blood vessels in few sensitive areas dilated in emotional conditions and get red and hot.
As for as hormonal condition you should get your thyroid function checked, and see a doctor or post your report in here At HCM.
You can apply soothing cream or lotion for relief.
