                                            Elevated ALT
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Elevated liver enzymes such as ALT can be due to or associated with a number of reasons including Alcohol, viral hepatitis, liver parenchymal disease, obesity, fatty liver hepatic metabolized or hepatotoxic drugs, fatty liver etc. Vomiting with elevated liver enzymes should prompt a viral hepatitis profile, an ultrasound abdomen pelvis and repeat Liver function tests in the next 2 months. Bilirubin levels need to be checked. Fluid replacement with isotonic solutions and anti emetics can be advised for the vomiting and resulting dehydration. Your son will likely get assessed for other conditions associated with vomiting such as Gastritis, gastrointestinal infections/food poisoning, raised intracranial pressure etc and treated accordingly.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
