Brief Answer:
You don't have to worry!

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I am Dr.Rovena.
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Alanine transaminase (ALT) is an enzyme found in the highest amounts in the liver. Injury to the liver results in release of the substance into the blood.
The ALT test is often done along with other tests that check for liver damage, including aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and bilirubin. Both ALT and AST levels are reliable tests for liver damage.

The normal range is 10 to 40 international units per liter (IU/L).
Your ALT level of 46 IU/L is slightly over the normal range. In my opinion this level doesn't have any medical significance(it isn't considered high )

The normal range depends on many things, including your age and gender. Normal value ranges may also vary slightly among different laboratories.

Liver disease is more likely when levels of other liver blood tests are also increased.

If your other tests including AST,LDH,Bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase are normal and you don't have any symptom of liver disease such as right upper abdominal pain, jaundice, weakness, etc You have nothing to worry about.
If you had liver disease your ALT level would be much more higher and the other liver tests would be altered too.

SO you don't have to worry, this ALT level doesn't mean nothing.

Just to be sure you can repeat this test after one month.

Hope I was able to help.
If you have any further question please feel free to write me,I will be happy to help.
Take care.
Dr.Rovena
