Brief Answer:
Raised ALT

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Drug Induced Liver Injury (DILI) can occur with a number of medications. If the ALT is not raised above 4 to 5 times upper limit of normal, there are no signs of hepatic compromise, the viral hepatitis profile is negative and the bilirubin levels are also normal then the medication should be continued just as before. The Liver function tests should be repeated within a week to look for an acutely rising ALT. If present , then the amlodipine can be considered for discontinuation in consultation with your doctor. The rapid weight loss can also be a contributing factor towards the raised ALT.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Lab report

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

The normal iron-binding capacity is 255-450 μg/dL.

The units used by your lab may be different.

If possible then kindly provide the lab report of the raised uibc.

wishing you best of health

Thanks
