Brief Answer:
Please, what was the reported laboratory value?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this abnormal GGT value that you have reported. It know it has caused you so much distress but I would like you to calm down and work with us towards identifying the exact problem and addressing it.

To start with, I will like to know what the reported value was. If this is very close to the normal range, then controlling would be the best plan as of now since there are no other symptoms that suggest an ongoing disease condition. However, if it were not the case, we would need to do a complete set of tests to get more answers.

GGT is not only affected by alcohol consumption. Diseases of the bile tract, gall bladder and liver can affect this reading. This is to say that the fact that you do not consume alcohol in no way suggests that you cannot have increased GGT.

I hope this addresses your query fully. I hope to hear from you. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thank you so much for using our services.

Brief Answer:
That was a high value!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This value is way over the normal upper limit of about 30 in females.

I would like to see it repeated to make sure it is abnormal because you have no symptoms. If it stays that high, then we would do a complete liver function tests to look for other possible disease markers. Let's get the repeated values and act on them.

Let me know what your thoughts are and if this is something you would be following up with.
