What Causes Elevated IgE Levels?

Question: my last test results came back with elevated igE. Can you you please tell me what this test is for and what followup test my doctor should take?

Hi! thanks for writing to us!

IgE is elevated in our serum/blood when we get some allergic reaction to anything like skin allergy, food allergy, fungus, dusts, parasites, drugs etc. etc..

You need to do Total and differential count of WBC in your blood along with absolute eosinophil count; if you have coughs, then a chest x-ray also and if you have skin problems then allergy tests...!
